Welcome to Kittenframes
Step inside the home studio where Fluff and Fuzz live
Why Kittenframes?
We photograph kittens frame-by-frame.
That's why it's Kittenframes.
Kittenframes is where Zsofi
plays for a living. A home stop-motion studio she built from scratch. Every stage, every table, every miniature prop, and yes, Fluff and Fuzz themselves—all made by hand, slow and deliberate.
Here's the thing about stop motion:
a blink-and-you-miss-it 3-second clip can eat up days, sometimes weeks. Sketching ideas, building tiny worlds, dressing sets, moving puppets millimeter by millimeter, then stitching it all together in post. Endless creativity, constant problem-solving.
Stop motion is gloriously imperfect. It's one of the first tricks people used to tell stories on screen, and it demands time, patience, and a stubborn refusal to cut corners. In a world obsessed with fast and cheap, this medium is defiantly slow and expensive.
So why bother? Because it's about nostalgia, it’s about play, but most importantly, stop motion celebrates the time, patience, and creativity of real people. That’s the heart of stop motion—and exactly why we’re here.
Meet Fluff and Fuzz
The playful stop-motion kitten duo!
Fluff in Yellow, Fuzz in Pink, and together they're the woolly creations of animator Zsofi. They are also the ones who inspired our playful earrings.
Fluff
is the older brother. A kitten of few words. He's shy and scares easily—but don't let that fool you. Fluff is wise beyond his whiskers and the steady comfort Fuzz can always count on.
Fuzz
is the little brother with big energy. He is brave and the life of the party. But Fuzz is fiercely loyal to his brother and never, ever gives up.
Meet Zsofi
The Masterming Behind Fluff & Fuzz
The real boss behind this middle-aged stranger.
I’m Zsofi, I'm a stop-motion animator who still plays with dolls. Trained at Aardman Academy, Stoopid Buddy, and Tim Allen’s Animation Workshop in London, UK.
I move tiny kittens frame by frame and felt earrings with the same hands. It's slow. It's tactile. That's the whole point.
It's my quiet rebellion against a world that's forgotten how to feel things.
I'm here to tell stories that remind us we're human and celebrate the imperfections we're all trying so hard to hide. Perfect is a lie. Let’s be real.
